In Fall 2015, NFPA, in collaboration with other national stakeholders, conducted the 4th Needs Assessment of the U.S. Fire Service. The primary objective of this effort was to identify U.S. fire departments' needs, gaps and challenges. The insights collected can then inform the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Fire Administration where funding is needed and serves as a powerful tool for local fire departments when discussing their capabilities within their jurisdictions.
I will be sharing and discussing the findings of this research effort, which captured new insights about fire department staffing, training, facilities, apparatus, equipment, communications, new technologies and their ability to handle unusually challenging incidents, in a free webinar coming up on January 18th from 12:30 - 1:30pm EST.
